Prenatal, Reproductive & Carrier Screening

Compare carrier screening and prenatal genetic tests by specimen, turnaround time and USD price, with genetic counseling support before booking.

Reproductive genetic testing is planned around a specific question — carrier status before or during pregnancy, or a prenatal screening question during pregnancy. Screening results are not diagnostic; any screening finding is confirmed with a diagnostic test through your obstetric team.

This hub groups our reproductive assays into clusters so that first-line and follow-up options can be compared directly. Counseling is part of the booking flow for every assay in this hub.

Frequently asked about Prenatal, Reproductive & Carrier Screening

Is prenatal screening the same as diagnostic testing? ▾

No. Screening (such as NIPT) estimates probability; diagnostic testing confirms a finding. Any screening result that raises concern is confirmed through your obstetric team before decisions are made.

When should carrier screening be done? ▾

Ideally before conception or early in pregnancy. Expanded carrier screening can be done at any point when reproductive planning or a family history raises a question.

Does insurance or HSA/FSA cover reproductive genetic testing? ▾

Coverage varies by plan and indication. We support private insurance, Medicare/Medicaid and self-pay by card or HSA/FSA, and we supply documentation for pre-authorization on request.

Not sure which test fits the clinical question?

A GGC DNA genetic counselor reviews the case and prescription before booking — free pre-test guidance.
